Denmark to help Vietnam keep labour commitments
Ngan announced her request at a workshop held in Hanoi on March 3, emphasising that human resource development and healthy labour relations established to generate more higher-paying jobs are a priority of the Vietnamese Government.
Thus, the government has been executing a number of policies, such as upgrading related legal policies, improving the investment climate, extending soft loans from the National Employment Promotion Fund, sending workers abroad, providing more vocational training, expanding the labour market and helping establish better relations between employees and employers.
From the Danish side, Minister of Employment Claus Hjort Frederiksen shared his experiences in building a flexible and safe labour market, which, he said, took into account social security, market policies, and benefits and obligations for the unemployed.
The workshop is the first step toward implementing a series of commitments outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding signed by MOLISA and the Danish Ministry of Employment on March 2./.
